Waking up to Snow in Colorado

This blog comes with a Warning:
1- it is loooonnngggg
(if you actually read it I will give you two thumbs up:-)
I set my alarm for 4:30am on Saturday morning, woke up, got dressed and headed out the door in the freezing cold to catch a plane for 7am. As I am basically having to undress to go through security I see some family friends ahead of me I hadn't seen in years, only connected with on facebook! The plane is a little hopper plane and I couldn't take my camera equipment bag on because there was literally NO room...here I am unloading my camera equipment into my small duffle bag so that it's with ME! I couldn't risk it getting stolen or thrown around. I finally get seated and wait for an hour or so before we finally take off because of the heavy fog in Dallas. I was able to catch up with friends only to find out he has a photography business!
It's amazing how the Lord puts the right people in your life at just the right time!! The plane finally takes off we get in the air and then have to circle Dallas for a half hour before we could land, because of the fog. Thankfully we were cleared to land because we were fixing to head to another airport to get more fuel...yeh that wouldn't have been cool.
So with all of the delays that put me running in the Dallas airport! Thankfully I didn't miss it because it was delayed too. Just plain craziness!
Once I got my bags, I met up with the Dominguez Family and headed to Red Robin for one of the most delicious burgers I've had in a loooonnnggg time!!! The Bleu Ribbon...yummy yummy:-)
We headed to their house and had tea/coffee...visited...put puzzles together...

enjoyed the company and then I fixed them some good cajun cooking...Jambalaya for dinner! Their house is so warm and welcoming!!! I felt like I was at home with friends I've had for years! After dinner the girls put on a mini recital of their piano pieces, we played duets and then I played them some other fun pieces!! All at the same time we enjoyed Moose Track Ice Cream!

Sunday morning I woke up to beautiful snow falling and everything covered in white!! Photobucket
We had a delicious breakfast and then headed to Divide Colorado to their friends church. I loved the church, the people, the singing, the preaching, the sweet spirit and the fellowship!

THANK YOU Dominguez family for such a great time!!!
Sunday afternoon I met up with Cassidy which I met at my internship with Sarah Barlow in Nashville back in June of 09.
The views are here in Woodland Park are phenomenal, I can't wait for the rest of the week and to get out and shoot some landscapes:-)
