As I met the Thibaut Family at Fairview Riverside State Park, we walked around to

start taking pictures and I couldn't get over how easy going they were!

They seemed to natural in front of the camera! After a few tips they were pros!!

Such a good looking family!!

Mom gets two thumbs up for the wardrobe!!! The colors pop and coordinate!!

Whenever I get the question "What should we wear???"...My top two suggestions are COLOR and coordinate. It works everytime...Can't you tell?!?!?

This is one of my favorite from this gal!

These next two pictures were at the request of mom and I absolutely love them!!!

Pictage PartnerCon Conference 2009

On Tuesday and Wednesday of this week I had the opportunity to go to the Pictage PartnerCon Conference held at the Astoria Hotel on Canal St. in New Orleans.

Seriously things like this are never in my "backyard" so I had to take this opportunity!

I heard some amazing speakers some being Mike Colon, The Marantz's, Jeff & Erin Youngren and the list goes on!!!

I'm looking forward to adding a few things and making a few small changes to help my business!

A few other highlights were meeting Jamie Delaine in person! Meeting her on Skype just isn't the same!!!

On Wednesday afternoon I had signed up to go out for 2- hours with the McLellans on a hands on photo shoot.

It was great to see them work along side one another as a team! I picked up some great ideas and tips on how to have a fun and productive photo session!

We had two wonderful couples that modeled for us, they were troopers with about 25 cameras in their faces...whew sometimes one is a enough for us!!!!

While walking down Royal St. we came by a local band and I had fun taking a few unique pictures!

Please meet the awesome, incredible, fun, stylish, good-looking, amazing, wonderful and loving Peace Family!

As Mrs. Peace and I chatted on the phone briefly a few times about their photo session I knew we were a good match! When I met them face to face for the first time I knew we were an even better match! Just their love for one another was enough for me to connect with them.

As I met everyone (even cute Chloe and Bella!!!) the kids and I began to yack as we were walking...just yacking about what they do in life...and how busy they are...and school and how they are "bff's"!! There is nothing I love more than to hear how much a family gets along and loves each other!

Here Bella and Chloe were great models too!

I loved this few minutes I had with mom and dad...I felt like I was at an engagement session!

I mean seriously they are in love!

Mom wasn't wanting/expecting pictures of her but guess what...I turned around

and saw this and couldn't resist! I love love love it!

Thank y'all for such a great time and capturing some great memories all while having

so much fun!!!

Basic Photography Workshop| Be Inspired| Erin Rachel Photography

So it's not the best thing to be late...but as the old saying goes

"It's better late than never!"

Well I'm about 10 days late on this blog post...please forgive...

drum roll- here it goes!

On October 24th I had the privilege to teach 8 amazing "gals"

more about using their camera and some basic rules to composing a picture!

As usual the class starts at the Home School Cottage in Slidell. We have class time with some hands on projects. Then we head off to the park to put more of the rules we learned into action!

The first project: Fill the Frame- Congratulations to Mrs. Julie!!!!

The second project was all about "Thirds"- The vote was to Mrs. Shari for placing her subject on the third all while filling the frame!!!! Wow:-)

As we headed over to the park for the last project "Picture of the Day". There were some great images taken and sooo hard to pick! I chose three pictures then the class voted on the picture! Congratulations to Kala for winning Picture of the Day!

The workshop was so fun! Full of wonderful questions and eagerness to learn more! I love each workshop, not only because I love teaching but I love seeing people learn and take what they learned using it in their personal lives!!

(I know that was a run on sentence...

oh well...sometimes I just type my thoughts:-) )

Maternity sessions are so much fun because they are filled

with excitement...anticipation and joy!!

After trying to shoot this session two other times...each time we cancelled because of weather...I would say that the Lord was good...the sunlight and weather was absolutely PERFECT!!!! We couldn't have asked for any better!

I can't wait to meet LeahKate who will be here sometime in mid January!!! You all will get to meet her as well:=)

Oh! Oh! Oh! before I sign off for the night- how many of you like my new chair?!?!?!?!

My awesome mom found this for me last weekend...

As I was on my way home from teaching a photography workshop

my mom told me about this chair she picked up for $2.00. Yes! Only 2 bucks...

She wasn't sure I would like it but chanced it.

I pulled into the garage and there it was...love at first sight!! I loved it:-)

I think she scored!!!!!!!!!! because I love love love it!!!!
