Traveling Adventures| Erin Rachel Photography

Weekend before last I took off to Oklahoma for the weekend to visit a friend.
As soon as I landed we hit the road "running".
**AND before I go any further please understand this is a loonngg post with lots of pictures! If you read all the way to the end you deserve a high five!!!**
We only had 2 and an half days and lots of things to cover!
Since we were both starving we made an amazing Italian place our first stop! Talk about amazing...as we chatted and ate and got our bellies full we decided to hit up a little shopping since we were right by it. I mean two girls with a free weekend, for sure we're going to fit in some shopping. DSW...yeh if you need a pair of shoes you are bound to find a pair there...it's a shoe lovers heaven!
So after having fun and goofing off we went out on an adventure!
Just a quick side note...we had no map:-)
BUT we found our way out to route 66 to find Pops 66Photobucket

We saved Bricktown for last because it comes alive at night and it's got more personality! We didn't stay long but just long enough to walk around and see the old buildings, texture and quaint places!

Can you tell I had wayyyyy too much sugar on this weekend! Wow my body was in sugar shock!
Sunday took us off to church...home to pack a picnic lunch. We loaded up headed to a lake only to end back up in Oklahoma City. Do you remember me saying we DIDN'T have a map...yeh that can be important! Somehow after stopping at a 7eleven with an icee in hand to get us through we found another park, which ended up perfect for a picnic lunch.

Oh. My. Goodness.

These are such awesome pictures, I almost feel like I had been there!

My favorite pictures are of you in grey (is THAT ever gorgeous!) and of Sissa in the yellow flowers. (and ditto to that one, too!)

Beautiful pictures -- especially of the memorial at sunset. Wow. Love the lines and sunspot.

Found your blog browsing the page of one of your FB fans - so glad I did!
