Photo Talk Monday | Erin Rachel Photography

This past Monday I hosted the second Photo Talk...to date.

I love it...we are building a community of photographers whether it's a hobby, an

amateur or professional photographer it's for everyone!

We started with question and answer time.

A couple of topics from the night were...

1-Lenses...why there are really expensive lenses and then some cheap ones:-)

2-Which lens is a good all around lens.

3-How come my point and shoot takes so long to save the picture

before I can snap another one!!!! (I am sure many

of you have that question!)

4-Camera settings and different scenarios to use these settings in

5-Photo critique

Of course these topics create discussion which leads to more questions!

This month each individual is working on specific projects that are

personal to them, and I can't wait to see their images!

Sneak Peek: Kelly & Doug are in love | Wedding and Senior Photography

Ok I just couldn't wait to show you.

I met up with Kelly and Doug last Sunday afternoon for some fun!

To speak for myself...I had fun and I hope they did too... not to mention the

"no trespassing" sign we completely had to ignore:-) he-he

I pretty much had to say

ahhhh-mazing when I saw this, not only on the computer

but in the camera:-) Loving it!

Leah-Kate is 3 months old | Erin Rachel Photography

Where does the time go?

It seems like yesterday they were anticipating the birth of Leah-Kate.

Newborn pictures were taken and birth announcements were sent out.

Now she is a beautiful 3 month old baby that is smiling and beginning

to coo and trying her hardest to start rolling over, not quite there yet!

Thanks to big sister Hannah, that picked flowers for us,

we have a beautiful prop in the pictures:-)

Leah-Kate your "E.E." loves you!

(incase you haven't been around long enough to know, I am an aunt...

and they have named me E.E. and I pretty much love it:-) the end)

Work-a-holic is my middle name | Erin Rachel Photography

So my middle name has officially been changed...

from Rachel to Work-a-holic.

It's official! :-)

Ok not really but it could be legit.

So with all of that said I have "taken it easy today".

The definition to "taking it easy" is NOT laying around and reading a book- oh no!

I only could wish for that!!

My definition of "taking it easy" is sleeping in until 6:30...

grabbing a cup of coffee...

going and swimming a mile at the gym...

working on book work...

prepping for Photo Talk tonight...

running to the errands...

washing clothes...

and trying to cross a hurdle of a larger back-up system for the business.

oh-yeh

So I shall share three fun images from this weekend...which I will be blogging more about my weekend soon...Photography Workshop, engagement session and more to come!

Smith Family | Erin Rachel Photography

Girls...Girls...Girls...Beautiful girls!

I met up with the Smith Family for a mini session a couple of weeks ago and for

a 30 minute session, I pretty much love what I see!

Poor things, have waited patiently to see their pictures...

Two whole weeks of waiting...in between there I have

gotten texts and facebook messages, all in anxiousness to see

their pictures! I loved it!! Ha of course

I would just fire back a tease:-)

Thanks Smith's for a great time and for all of your gorgeousness!

Miss Amelia just topped the session off

Ella, Blaine and I pretty much spent time playing, laughing and having fun.

The Quinlan Family | Erin Rachel Photography

Warning:

Expect lots of pictures, an amazing looking family and lots of fun!

Ok seriously this was my last session out of 7, a week ago, all in one day!

I was worried that my creativity was running low, like a 4 on a scale 1-10.

Well as I started snapping away...um I felt like my creativity was off the

charts with this family!

Their energy, love, fun, cuteness and stunning-ness pretty

much made my job e.a.s.y.

And I'm loving the outcome...seriously check them out!

By the way before you look at the next picture Mom Quinlan says

she isn't too hip on taking pictures...

well I would beg to differ...pretty much gorgeous.

Quinlan Family, I have way tooooo many favorites from your session!

Mommy.Daddy.&.Bryce | Wedding and Portrait Photography

Ok so mommy.daddy.and.Bryce pretty much {rock}

If you can't tell, Mr. Bryce, is soooo cute!

Blonde hair, blues eyes...yeh.

He's so happy, laid back and nothing but cuteness!

I pretty much think this should be like a 16x20 on a wall...

But then again I think that all of these pictures should!

Sometimes with these little ones you never know what you actually

capture until you start looking through image after image...

Well image after image with this little man made me smile!

We know what today is! | Erin Rachel Photography

Yep it's April 15th...Tax day!

I never like paying taxes...when you work hard for your money and then

you have to pay so much of it back. Yeh pretty much makes me want

to buy 10 acres in the middle of no-where...

build a log cabin...not work and live off of my land!

Ok Ok Ok...I don't think I could ever do that but

you know, hopefully you've gotten my point!

Anyway! A gi-normous thank you to my "book-keeper" for

all of his help! (my dad is pretty amazing!!!) I couldn't have done

it without him...in all seriousness!

Thanks dad for putting up with my grumpiness of answering questions...

my delays in getting things rounded up for you to start helping me...

Dad, thanks for everything, you know how to "get-er done!!!"

It's a great feeling when the check is written and the papers are sent!

One more year down...hopefully many more to go!
