I had to pretty much bribe these gals into this last set of pictures,

but oh my word I can say they were soooo worth it...agree?! I hope so...

This is sooo Baylor...yeh pretty much a ham!

I think this is another winner...that's just my opinon...not worth much I know!

I L.O.V.E. Pottery Barn...My dream house is decorated solely by Pottery Barn!

The magazine comes in the mail and I drool over it.

So every now and then I get a wild hair and steal their ideas!

I found it in my hardback, 368 page Pottery Barn Home Book!

This ones for my office which is tucked away upstairs in the corner of my bedroom:-)

It's all random sized black frames with all black and white pictures of

the people in my life that I love and mean so much to me!

Being a Tourist, camera and all! | Erin Rachel Photography

Last week was Spring Break, I don't know if "break" really is the right word to use but well yeh that's what we say. I guess it was a break from the usual schedule!

For most of my break I headed up to see my extended family in North Alabama. Just a nice get away, see those that I love and spend time with them.

So if you follow me on twitter or facebook, you probably saw my post about being an official tourist with my camera and cute shoes...well after that day the sacrifice of wearing cute and not comfy shoes was well not a good idea! My feet were screaming!! Needless to say it gave me a good excuse to buy a new pair of shoes that day:-) I finally gave into the Fossil sandals I've had my eye on:-) What can I say! Every girl needs an excuse for a new pair of shoes!

Anyway this post is not about my shoes...

It's all of the cool places that I went to and took pictures! It was fun to see where my parents grew up, where they had to get their marriage license, where my grand mother worked you know places that you normally don't see when you go to visit family!

This is Helen Keller's Birthplace- who would have thought in the middle of a small community!

Now that Spring Break is over...it's back to the grind as they say.

But I love my "grind"!

Celebrating Resurrection Day | Erin Rachel Photography

I'm sitting on my bed, resting and reflecting after a wonderful worship service at church.

We enjoyed lunch with my family and some friends, just to celebrate.

Friends we have a lot to celebrate and a lot to be thankful for.

Just take a few minutes to be still...and reflect on what Jesus has done for you!

Just a few of my thoughts...

...It's not just a typical Sunday, to many of us it's a special Sunday.

Why?

It's the day that we celebrate our Savior's resurrection.

I am thankful that I serve a risen Savior.

God sent his only son- Jesus Christ to die on the cross.

Why?

Two reasons -You - Me

Did he have to do this? No, but he loves us that much.

He died, was buried and three days later rose from the dead.

If thou shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead

thou shalt be saved- Romans 10:9

God has given us an eternal place in heaven, we just have to receive

his free gift of salvation by simply trusting him.

Melissa + Michael Engagement Session | Wedding and Portrait Photography

I don't like to start ALL of my blog posts with telling you how amazing and fun this couple was...but seriously can I say that it seems like every session gets better and better and then becomes the BEST until of course I shoot another session:-) This just means I have a ton of favorite sessions:=) But this first picture is my all time favorite...soooo far:-)

Melissa, Michael and myself headed over to the quaint town of Madisonville, LA. The weather was perfect with clouds and a little bit of sunshine, until we were on the road for about 15 minutes and it starts raining...yes raining. I took a deep breath and laughed...yes laughed! Melissa wondered if we should turn around and head the other way?!?!?! I said "NO"! I wanted to do their shoot in Madisonville and was determined to:-) I said even if I had to find coverings and porches we were going to Madisonville!!! Two hours later you can see the results of the amazing-ness that followed!

My second most favorite...almost ever;-)

You two are perfect together in my opinion! Everything is made perfect

in God's timing!

Can't you feel the happiness?!?!?!

Unfortunately you won't be seeing many wedding pictures of these two from "Erin Rachel Photography" aka ME! Why?!?!?! Because I'm the maid of honor...The first thing Melissa (aka one of my best friends) told me when she called me to say that she had a new piece of jewelry, was that I was her favorite photographer BUT I was also her best friend and she wanted me to be her maid of honor...I said girl you may think I'm good but I'm not that good!! Ha So my job was to find a photographer for her wedding because I am in it! She ended up giving me one of the hardest jobs of planning a wedding! I found a photographer...but yes I will still have my camera in hand, just not the whole time!!!
